Coinbase, the popular cryptocurrency exchange, is preparing to launch its subscription service called “Coinbase One” in 35 countries. Initially, customers in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Ireland will have access to the service. The announcement, made on May 18, highlights that Coinbase One aims to offer a range of features, including zero-fee trading, enhanced staking rewards, and exclusive benefits through partnerships with industry leaders such as Messari and CoinTracker. For a monthly fee of $29.99, subscribers can take advantage of these perks. Additionally, Coinbase plans to collaborate with other partners, such as Alto IRA, Blockworks’ Permissionless, and Lemonade, to bring further benefits to its members.
In addition to the aforementioned features, Coinbase One subscribers will have access to a dedicated 24/7 support team, providing prompt assistance for any technical account issues via phone. Moreover, United States members will enjoy the convenience of a pre-filled tax Form 8949, simplifying the process of filing crypto taxes by automatically organizing their transactions.
Coinbase’s recent move to introduce the Coinbase International Exchange, a platform tailored for institutional trading of crypto derivatives, signals the exchange’s expansion efforts beyond the United States. This strategic decision comes amidst ongoing regulatory challenges faced by Coinbase in its home market. Despite these international expansions, CEO Brian Armstrong reassures users of Coinbase’s unwavering commitment to the U.S. market.
