Developers of the Trump Digital Trading Cards have stated that there will be no refunds, and all sales are final. The second collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) featuring former US President Donald Trump sold out within a day of launch, with 47,000 digital collectibles priced at $99 each. The collection earned over $4.65 million and has since reached 750 Ether in trading volume on OpenSea. The NFTs utilize the former president’s image and name under a paid license and promise individuals one ticket to attend a gala dinner with Trump in South Florida if they purchase 47 Digital Trading Cards or buy 100 cards with crypto. The purchase of NFTs could be made using either credit card or Wrapped Ether, and users were required to undergo Know Your Customer verification, even if they paid with cryptocurrency.
These NFTs were minted on the Polygon blockchain and created by artist Clark Mitchell. In the upcoming 2024 elections, the ex-president is running for a second term that is not consecutive.
