Blockchain network Gnosis Chain’s developer, Gnosis Builders, has launched a $5 million initiative named “Gnosis VIP” to increase the number and diversity of validators through incentive mechanisms. As part of the program, Gnosis has introduced a “Geographic Diversity Program” that aims to increase the number of countries where Gnosis Chain validators are located. For the first ten validators in each of the 90 listed countries, Gnosis will offer 388 mGNO, worth $1,368.18 at April 12 prices, over six months.
The initial payment of 38 mGNO ($134) will be made after the first month of node operation, with the last payment of 98 mGNO ($345.57) made at the end of the six months. The program seeks to increase the number of countries to 180 by the end of the year. Gnosis CEO Martin Köppelmann expressed hope that the initiative would improve the security and performance of the network through geographical diversity among validators.
