Arbitrum, a scaling solution designed to improve the Ethereum ecosystem, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing five million accounts, according to data compiled by @Henrystats on Dune Analytics. The ARB ecosystem now boasts over four million active accounts and almost 200 million transactions, thanks to the development of Arbitrum and the excitement surrounding its recent airdrop. On March 23, the airdrop distributed 1.275 billion ARB tokens to 625,143 eligible addresses, which has contributed to this growth.
However, weekly user activity has decreased considerably since the airdrop’s peak, indicating that some users may have sold their ARB tokens soon after receiving them. Additionally, the Arbitrum DAO’s proposal to reclaim 700 million governance tokens to its treasury was rejected. Despite this setback, the overall growth of Arbitrum suggests that it has become a popular choice for developers and traders who are seeking to benefit from its scaling capabilities.
