Sotheby’s has responded to community feedback regarding a lack of diversity in its previous art sale and relaunched its Glitch digital art sale. The new sale, called “Glitch: Beyond Binary,” aims to represent diverse artist communities and will begin on April 19. The previous sale, “Natively Digital: Glitch-ism,” was temporarily paused due to criticism over its lack of representation. In response to the concerns, Sotheby’s stated that the new sale would represent people of all genders, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, abilities, ages, and backgrounds.
