LimeWire, a former peer-to-peer file-sharing platform that has been revived as an NFT marketplace, has launched a new game that allows players to relive the nostalgia of pirating music from the early 2000s while earning crypto rewards. The retro music-downloading game, which features the look of the Microsoft Windows XP operating system, prompts players to search for early 2000s music and movies and choose which ones to “download” within a time limit.
Players earn points for each successful download, which are entered onto a leaderboard, with top players eligible to receive LimeWire’s upcoming ERC-20 token, LMWR. The game is browser-based and requires players to enter their email addresses to play.
