The Portfolio Dapp of MetaMask, a provider of cryptocurrency wallets and decentralized applications, has rolled out a new feature that permits users to buy cryptocurrencies with fiat currency directly. The “Buy Crypto” feature will be available in over 189 countries and offer more than 90 tokens across eight different networks, including Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain. Users can select their payment method, region, token, and network, and the feature will provide a customized quote for each purchase, taking into account the user’s location and local regulations.
After choosing a quote, users will be directed to a third-party provider’s website to finalize the transaction, with the funds being directly deposited into their MetaMask wallet. The move is intended to provide users with an easier way to purchase crypto with fiat currency, and MetaMask has partnered with several organizations over the years to help onboard new users to its platform.
