Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump, who frequently makes headlines, only takes the second spot in the list of the most searched terms in America. Other popular terms following Bitcoin and Trump include breaking news, Elvis Presley, and Disney World, while previously popular terms such as guns, Chuck Norris, health insurance, and politics didn’t make it to the top 10.
Recent Google Trends data shows that searches for Donald Trump exceeded those for Bitcoin for just two days in the last 30 days when reports of his possible arrest emerged. Additionally, a state-wise comparison reveals Nevada as the state with the highest number of “Bitcoin” searches, followed by Miami, California, and Washington. The success and high interest in Bitcoin in Nevada can be attributed to lower taxes and local government initiatives to promote innovation, as well as the state’s longstanding gambling reputation.
