While the true identity of Satoshi remains unknown to the public, crypto enthusiasts have noted that their age increased by one year on their profile, indicating a birthday of April 5, 1975. Some speculate that this date may be related to a significant event in US history, when President Franklin Delano Roosevelt took the country off the gold standard in 1933.
Despite the mystery surrounding Satoshi’s identity, the crypto community continues to honor them through various means, such as a bronze statue in Budapest and yearly nominations for the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. The price of Bitcoin at the time of writing was $28,296, up more than 26% in the last 30 days.
