Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange, is expanding its global presence by launching a new blockchain hub in Georgia, a country known for its crypto-friendly policies. The hub, referred to as a “Web3 outpost,” aims to promote the adoption of crypto in Georgia by attracting talent, promoting education in the industry, and creating more job opportunities.
Binance’s Georgia division, which currently employs 25 people, cooperates with local public and private sectors to organize educational and hackathon events. By the end of 2023, Binance expects to create “dozens more jobs” with the launch of its regional hub in Georgia.
According to Binance’s regional director, Georgia is a leader in terms of crypto adoption, with a current rating of 8 out of 10. Georgia’s government aims to make the country a major global crypto hub and is known for hosting a large number of Bitcoin ATMs.
