Cassava Network, a Web3 platform based in Africa that focuses on gaming, loyalty rewards, and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has launched the third version of its platform. The new release integrates with UniPass, a non-custodial smart contract wallet, allowing users to use email addresses instead of seed phrases and gas. This integration will enable users to hold, send, and receive on-chain digital assets across multiple Ethereum Virtual Machine blockchains.
One of the primary goals of this partnership is to onboard Africans from Web2 to Web3. The integration of Cassava accounts with UniPass makes it easy for African users to interact with their favorite Web2 and Web3 brands while earning CB Coins and other on-chain rewards specified by partners. While CB Coins exist off-chain at the moment, users will soon be able to swap them for on-chain assets. The CB Coins can then be used to purchase concert tickets and mystery boxes on the platform.
The new version also has a community feature that allows business brands who partner with Cassava Network to create communities on the network, which can help them grow their African market by increasing engagement and followership on different platforms through task creation for users to engage in and earn rewards.
Cassava Network co-founder Mouloukou Sanoh said that Cassava v3 serves as a bridge for global Web3 businesses to connect with African Web2 users. So far, 90% of the partners engaging with the community feature of Cassava v3 are African businesses.
The integration with UniPass is a significant step forward for the African crypto space. It eliminates the need for seed phrases and gas and makes it easier for users to interact with Web3 applications. Furthermore, it enables Cassava Network to broaden crypto adoption in Africa by providing users with a safe and easy-to-use platform to hold and transact in digital assets.
In an interview with Cointelegraph, Sanoh explained how the new version could improve the business economy in Africa. According to Sanoh, “Cassava v3 provides a channel through which partners can grow their African market.” By using the community feature, businesses can create engagement and followership on different platforms through task creation for users to engage in and earn rewards. This feature allows businesses to connect with their customers on a deeper level and establish long-term relationships.
The new version of Cassava Network will likely attract more users and businesses to the Web3 space in Africa. The integration with UniPass eliminates a significant barrier to entry and makes it easier for users to hold and transact in digital assets. Furthermore, the community feature will allow businesses to grow their African market and connect with their customers on a deeper level. With the continued growth of the African crypto space, Cassava Network is well-positioned to become a leading Web3 platform in the region.
